Repeat Prescriptions

You can order your repeat prescription by:

  • ordering online at any time
  • in person by leaving your request  in the prescription postbox on the outside of the surgery building at any time 
  • posting it to the surgery. Tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form.
  • ringing the Medicines Order Line on 01246 588860 (Monday - Friday 8.00 - 16.00 times may differ on Bank Holidays)

Please ensure that you give us at least 2 working days (not including Saturday or Sunday) to prepare your prescription.  A further 5 working days may be required for the medication to be dispensed by your chosen pharmacy.

If you are posting your request please remember to take the postal time into account before collecting,  we can post it back to you if you would prefer however you will need to provide use with a stamped, addressed envelope.

If you have made arrangements with your regular chemist to pick up your prescription on your behalf, they will usually have it dispensed ready for you to pick up from them.   In some circumstances they may also offer a delivery service. Please talk to your chemist if you would like more information.

Electronic Prescribing Service

This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.

This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.

To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.

Medication Reviews

We are keen to ensure that patients with on going medical problems are monitored regularly. The date of your next review is show on the right tear off portion, attached to your prescription. If a chemist picks up your prescription from the practice, please ensure they return the right side to you when you collect it.  If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.  To continue to receive repeat medication you must attend for a medication review.
